When choosing a barn door track size, the track length should be at least twice the total door width. For example, if each barn door is 36'' wide, you will need a 144'' (12FT) long track so that your opening will be fully visible. You can use a track that is slightly longer and let your door be a little bigger than the opening.

For the double barn door hardware system, you'll need at least 6" of clearance from the top of the door to the ceiling. The gap between the door and the wall should be about 5/8'' based on a door thickness of 1-9/16''.

The barn door hanger roller features professional bearings made of high-purity bearing steel Gcr15, with a ring-fixed structure and a dust cover to prevent steel balls from leaving their locus and to keep the lubricating oil in place. This ensures smooth and durable sliding, with a lifespan tested beyond 160,000 cycles.

The roller surface is covered with nylon, providing wear resistance and quiet operation. We design the dowel pin on the front part to be slightly larger, keeping it securely in the hole and preventing it from falling off. All the parts are made of Q235 carbon steel, 1/4'' (6.3mm) thick, with 8.8 grade roller bolts that can comfortably hold the doors.

The 12FT Double barn door hardware kit includes: - 3 pieces of 4ft rails, pre-drilled with 16" apart holes, made of 1/4" thick solid steel with 8.8 grade high-strength lag bolts - 4 track connectors with 4 screws to fasten the track, making the installation more convenient and beautiful - 9 spacers of 1-3/8" length, suitable for door thicknesses less than 1-3/4". Longer spacers are available for thicker doors, or you can add a headboard to the wall. - 4 door stoppers with rubber plugs for damping and noise reduction, with 2 screws to fasten them to the track - 2 floor guides to prevent the door from swinging back and forth or against the baseboard, keeping it sliding on the same locus - 4 anti-jumpers to prevent the door from being lifted off the rail, ensuring stability and safety

The double barn door hardware installation instructions provide step-by-step guidance with fractional measurements in inches, along with detailed written instructions and pictures.

You can cut the track to any desired length, and we suggest adding a cover above the track if using the hardware outdoors, along with regular painting and oiling to extend the service life. A headboard may be needed if you have a doorway trim on the wall, if your door thickness is greater than 1-3/4", or if the studs don't line up with the pre-drilled holes in the rail.

We recommend using 1-3/8" to 1-3/4" thick doors, but can provide accessories for other thicknesses if needed. The weight capacity of the hardware is limited to 260lbs.
